YMCA Bear campout rules
Event-specific Adventure Clubs rules for September 25–27, 2026.
Children and supervision
- Supervise children at all times, including at the shared playground, around other campsites and near fires.
- Keep dangerous camping tools and equipment—such as stakes, knives, lighters, generators and unsafe cooking gear—out of children’s hands. A specialized activity using them requires close one-to-one parent supervision. Do not use dangerous objects as pretend weapons.
- Children should not ride bikes at this high-traffic venue.
Not allowed at YMCA events
- No illegal drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping or marijuana.
- No accelerants, fireworks, rockets, firearms, knives, tiki torches, laser lights or flares.
- No pets, glass, off-road vehicles, ATVs, go-carts or golf carts.
- No airsoft or paintball equipment, potato guns or marshmallow guns.
Respect the camp and others
- Never leave a campfire unattended. An adult must be present at every Group or Club fire.
- Obey posted speed limits, marked trails and roads. Do not trespass or place tents or vehicles in off-limits areas.
- Respect other campers’ privacy and follow venue staff and YMCA facilitator directions. Violations may lead to eviction.
- Leave no trace: leave the camp cleaner than you found it.
